Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily restricted ticket sales after January 21
In Ukraine, the procedure for selling train tickets is temporarily changing due to adjustments to the train schedule. Find out when ticket sales will resume after January 21, what the restrictions are related to, and how this will affect passengers
Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily postponed the sale of tickets for trains running after January 21. The decision is related to urgent adjustments to timetables and routes on certain sections of the railway due to the security situation and technical limitations.
UZ announced this on its official Telegram channel, explaining the reasons for the delay and specifying the exact dates when ticket sales for passengers will resume.
Why ticket sales after January 21 have been suspended
As explained by Ukrzaliznytsia, specialists are currently making operational adjustments to the train schedule. The main reason is the complicated traffic on the Fastiv section of the railway, which was recently damaged by enemy shelling.
In addition, the company is forced to change some routes for safety reasons. Such decisions are made in order to adapt the operation of rail transport to current conditions and minimize risks for passengers and rolling stock.
It is precisely because of these technical and safety factors that ticket sales for flights after January 21 have been temporarily postponed.

When will ticket sales open: exact dates and times
Ukrzaliznytsia has announced that the new train schedules should be ready by the end of the day on January 7. Accordingly, ticket sales will open the next day, January 8.
The ticket sales schedule will be as follows:
● domestic flights — from 8:00 a.m. on January 8;
● international flights — from 9:00 a.m. on January 8.
According to the updated schedules, Ukrainian trains will run starting January 22.
The company also warned passengers that until the schedules are finalized, trains may be delayed by 1-2 hours. The duration of the delays will depend on the intensity of traffic on the Fastiv section and the overall situation on the network.
