Since the beginning of January, Ukraine has been running the “eYasla” program, which provides monthly payments to working parents with children aged 1 to 3. Find out more about who is eligible for assistance, how much the payments are, and how to apply for them

On January 1, 2026, Ukraine officially launched the state program “eYasla,” which is designed to support working parents with young children. The program provides monthly financial assistance to families in which one parent returns to work after the child reaches one year of age.


The National Social Service of Ukraine announced the launch and conditions of the program.


Who is eligible for assistance under the YeYasla program?


The following are eligible for payments:


- the mother or other legal representative of the child;

- a child aged 1 to 3 years;

- the applicant actually cared for the child and

- returned to work on a full-time basis.

Who is not eligible for payments?


Compensation is not provided to:


- foster parents;

- foster parents;

- patronage parents;

- representatives of institutions that perform the functions of guardians or custodians.


The amount of eYasla assistance in 2026


The amount of the monthly payment depends on the family's circumstances:


8,000 UAH — if the mother or other legal representative returns to work after the child reaches 1 year of age;

12,000 UAH — for families raising a child with a disability.


Payments are made monthly during the period of participation in the program.


What can the funds be spent on?


The funds received may only be used for childcare, in particular to pay for:


- services of private preschool education institutions;

- services of sole proprietors and legal entities that officially provide childcare services;

- paid services in state and municipal preschool education institutions in accordance with the law.


Important: the list of paid services in state and municipal institutions is determined by separate regulatory acts.


How will the funds be received?


Financial assistance is transferred:


- to an account with a special use regime;

- via the electronic payment method “Dія.Картка” (Dія Card), registered in the Dія application.


How to apply for the eYasla payment?


To receive assistance, the mother or other legal representative of the child must apply to the nearest branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.


List of required documents


When submitting an application, you must have:


- an identity document;

- the applicant's RNOKPP (if available);

- the child's birth certificate;

- a copy or extract from the order on full-time employment.


Documents can also be submitted online using the “Diy.Sharing” service, which allows you to transfer digital copies without photocopying or scanning.
