How to apply for a D visa to enter Slovenia?

Step 1 - Determine the purpose of the trip

The visa category that corresponds to your situation is selected: work, study, family reunification, doing business, scientific or volunteer activities.

The purpose affects the list of documents and the chances of approval.

Step 2 – Prepare the necessary documents

The standard list includes: passport, photo, confirmation of the purpose of the trip (letter from the employer or university, confirmation of financial capacity, certificates from medical and government authorities), health insurance, financial documents, etc.

Step 3 – Make an appointment to submit documents

Applications are submitted through:

- The Slovenian embassy or consulate in your country.

- Authorized visa centers (e.g. VFS Global).
