Sunday is an intermediate option: not the most profitable, but not the most expensive time to buy. On average, tickets on the last day of the week are 5% cheaper than on Wednesday. For many destinations, this is a noticeable difference. Plus, if you plan to check into a hotel, Sunday is a less busy day, which means fewer queues and a calmer atmosphere at the airport.

Which days are best for buying tickets?

Experts note that many travellers are psychologically unprepared to fly on Monday, as the beginning of the week is associated with work. However, Monday is a very profitable option for buying tickets.

The top cheapest days are:

1st place — Friday

This day showed the maximum savings — up to 13% cheaper than Wednesday. Despite the fact that Friday is popular for travel, airlines often reduce prices due to the increase in the number of flights and destinations.

2nd place — Thursday

Prices on this day are usually lower than the weekly average, making it a good time to buy.

Of course, prices do not always fall — dynamic prices can change daily. But in most cases, buying tickets on Thursday or Friday really helps to reduce costs.
