Who Ukraine trades with most in Europe: Poland, Germany, and Italy lead the way
Europe remains the main trading partner for Ukraine. The leaders in mutual trade are Poland, Germany, and Italy, as well as the Netherlands, Romania, and Hungary. Find out who Ukraine exports and imports the most to and from, and what trends will define 2025
Ukraine is actively developing economic relations with European Union countries. In the first eight months of 2025, imports amounted to $52.6 billion, while exports totaled $26.4 billion. Poland, Germany, and Italy remain Ukraine's largest trading partners, with which Ukraine has both high export figures and significant import volumes. This is evidenced by the infographic “Word and Deed.”
Ukraine's European partners: exports and imports for the first eight months of 2025
Poland — the main partner
According to the Customs Service, Poland ranks first among Ukraine's trading partners.
Exports: $3 billion 263.8 million
Imports: $5 billion 014.4 million
Despite the fact that imports exceed exports, Poland remains a key market for Ukrainian goods and one of the main suppliers of products for the domestic market.
Germany and Italy
Germany became the second largest partner in terms of volume.
Exports: $1.5297 billion
Imports: $4.2398 billion
Italy ranks third, with Ukraine exporting $1.4174 billion worth of goods and importing $1.6657 billion worth of goods.

Refusal to trade with russia and Belarus
It is important to note that in 2025, Ukraine did not export any goods to russia and Belarus, confirming a complete breakdown in trade relations with these countries due to their aggression against Ukraine.
Thus, Ukraine's main European partners remain Poland, Germany, and Italy, which account for the largest volumes of bilateral trade. At the same time, Ukraine is gradually expanding its cooperation with other EU countries, maintaining its course towards integration into the European market.
