Men who are wanted by the TCC and do not have a military ID card are to be given the right to reserve a place
Ukraine is preparing changes to the rules for reserving employees of critically important enterprises. The Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading a bill that allows temporary reservations even for men without a military ID or those who are wanted by the TCC. Find out who will be affected by the new rules and what conditions must be met
The Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading bill No. 13335, which amends the procedure for reserving employees of critically important enterprises. The document stipulates that even men who do not have military IDs or have violations in the preparation of documents will be able to obtain a reservation.
What the bill provides for
According to the draft law, temporary deferment for a period of 45 days applies to employees of defence and critically important enterprises for the economy if:
▪️ they do not have a military ID or it has been issued with violations;
▪️ the person is not registered with the military;
▪️ personal data has not been verified;
▪️ the employee is wanted by the TCC (except for persons charged under Articles 336 and 337 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: evasion of mobilisation and evasion of military registration).

Why is the 45-day reservation being introduced?
The main goal is to give employees of enterprises that are essential to the defence-industrial complex and the economy time to put their military documents in order. During this period, the person is required to register and update their personal data with the TCC.
If the employee fails to comply with the requirements, the employer will have the right to terminate their employment contract.
Significance for critical enterprises
As stated in the explanatory note, the bill aims to streamline the mechanism for reserving conscripts. This applies to companies and institutions that the Cabinet of Ministers has recognised as critical to the functioning of the country under martial law.
In addition, the document expands the rules for concluding and terminating employment contracts at such enterprises to ensure their uninterrupted operation.
Reminder! Ukraine is discussing new changes to the legislation on mobilisation that may affect students and pupils. According to draft law No. 13634-1, only some of them will be able to retain the right to deferment. Find out who exactly may be affected by the new rules and which categories will retain protection.
