Ukrzaliznytsia launches train service between Mykolaiv and Ivano-Frankivsk: schedule, route, and stops

Starting August 1, 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a new train No. 209/210, which will run between Mykolaiv and Ivano-Frankivsk through key regional centers and important transport hubs. This will allow residents of southern Ukraine to reach the west of the country conveniently, quickly, and without transfers.

Timetable for train No. 209/210 Mykolaiv – Ivano-Frankivsk

Train No. 209/210 will run every other day:

→ it will depart from Mykolaiv on odd-numbered days at 15:54 and arrive in Ivano-Frankivsk the next day at 12:32.

→ In the opposite direction, it will depart from Ivano-Frankivsk on even days at 13:05 and arrive in Mykolaiv at 09:24 the next morning.

At which stations does the train stop?

The route covers 10 key cities and railway stations:

● Novyi Buh

● Dolynska

● Taras Shevchenko

● Korsun

● Bila Tserkva

● Vinnytsia

● Khmelnytskyi

● Ternopil

● Lviv

● Ivano-Frankivsk

The new train offers compartment and open-plan carriages, allowing you to choose the most convenient option depending on your budget and the duration of your trip.

How to get from Kherson to Mykolaiv to board the train?

The carrier notes that residents of Kherson can also conveniently use the new route. To do this, you can get to Mykolaiv by trains running on the same days as flight No. 209, namely:

● No. 319/320 Kherson — Mykolaiv-Vantazhny

● No. 101/102 Kherson — Kramatorsk

● No. 109/110 Kherson — Lviv

In the opposite direction — from Mykolaiv to Kherson — passengers can use the same trains, namely No. 110/109 Lviv — Kherson and No. 320/319 Mykolaiv-Vantazhny — Kherson.

Ticket sales: when to buy?

Ticket sales for train No. 209/210 open 10 days before the departure date. This is standard practice for most Ukrzaliznytsia passenger trains, so it is worth checking the schedule in advance. Online booking is available both on the carrier's official website and through convenient travel platforms such as Visit Ukraine, which allow you to quickly select a seat in the carriage without queuing, as well as book tickets for other types of transport in Ukraine and abroad.
