Wizz Air launches 11 new flights from Warsaw: convenient destinations for Ukrainians starting in December 2025
Wizz Air is returning to Warsaw and launching 11 new flights starting in December 2025. Find out which destinations are available, when ticket sales start, and what to consider before your trip
After a 13-year hiatus, Wizz Air has officially announced its return to Warsaw Modlin Airport and the launch of 11 new international routes. Starting in December 2025, the Hungarian low-cost airline will once again operate from the Polish capital's second-busiest airport, significantly expanding opportunities for Ukrainian travelers heading abroad via Poland.
This news is especially relevant for Ukrainians who are temporarily residing in Poland or planning to travel abroad on convenient and affordable flights. Warsaw-Modlin is located 40 km from the city center and has a well-developed infrastructure, including convenient bus and train connections, which facilitates logistics for tourists and migrant workers.
New Wizz Air destinations from Warsaw-Modlin: flight schedule
According to official information, from December 2025, Wizz Air will launch flights from Warsaw-Modlin to the following cities:
→ Milan-Bergamo (Italy)
→ Alghero (Italy, Sardinia)
→ Brindisi (Italy)
→ Palermo (Italy, Sicily)
→ Athens (Greece)
→ Barcelona (Spain)
→ Bergen (Norway)
→ Valletta (Malta)
→ Sofia (Bulgaria)
→ Paphos (Cyprus)
→ Chisinau (Moldova)
Thus, Wizz Air is giving passengers access to new popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, the Balkans, and Northern Europe.
According to company representative Roland Tishner, Wizz Air is not just opening new routes — the carrier is rolling out a full-fledged operational base in Modlin, adding two modern Airbus Neo aircraft. This will ensure a stable flight schedule, high flight frequency, and quick response to passenger demand.
“Following successful negotiations with Modlin Airport management, we are deploying two new Airbus Neo aircraft starting in December. This marks a new phase in our presence in the region,” said Tishner.
Why is this beneficial for Ukrainian travelers?
Wizz Air's return to Warsaw-Modlin Airport is an important event that opens up new logistics opportunities for Ukrainian citizens. In addition to the airport's proximity to the country's borders, Wizz Air's pricing policy is also advantageous. If you book early, you can find tickets at extremely attractive prices, often within the range of €20-50 one way. In addition, the carrier regularly holds sales and promotions.
