The Polish Center for International Assistance (PCPM) has announced two new programs to help Ukrainians. Refugees in different cities of Poland will be able to receive up to PLN 6000. Read on to find out who this program is for and how to receive the payment.
Program for Ukrainians who arrived in Poland after February 15, 2023
In addition to the date of crossing the Polish border, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Have a PESEL UKR card;
2. Do not receive three-monthly payments of 710 or 610 PLN from other humanitarian organizations in Poland;
3. One of the members of the family must belong to a vulnerable category of the population, e.g. persons over 60 years of age, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, nursing mothers, single parents or guardians, and citizens in need of emergency or permanent treatment.
This program provides for the payment of funds for each family member, but not more than for 4 people. If there is only one person in the family, he or she will receive 710 PLN.
Larger families will be paid according to the following approach: PLN 710 for the head of the family, PLN 610 for each other member. It should be noted that the maximum amount of assistance for a family is PLN 2540.
The assistance will be paid for three months.

Program for those who arrived in Poland after February 24, 2022
Ukrainians must have proof of crossing the border after February 24, 2022, as well as:
1. Not receive any other three-month assistance from other international organizations at the time of application;
2. Never receive six months of assistance from PCPM;
3. Not to have received social assistance from Poland for six months, except for the "500+" program or other programs with a payment amount of up to PLN 200;
4. Belong to a vulnerable category:
- persons over 60 years old if they live separately from younger relatives;
- Ukrainians with disabilities if they live with only one family member;
- people with serious chronic illnesses or those in need of immediate treatment, if they live with a maximum of one person under the age of 60.
Participants in this program will be able to receive PLN 1000 per person for six months.
That is, the total amount of payment is PLN 6000, which is equivalent to 53 thousand hryvnias.
In which cities does the PCPM program operate?
You can receive financial assistance in the following cities and their surroundings:
• Bydgoszcz;
• Białystok;
• Warsaw
• Lublin
• Toruń;
• Szczecin.
