New train Zhytomyr — Odesa: schedule, route, and convenient transfers

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a new passenger service between Zhytomyr and Odesa. This was announced by the carrier's press service on Telegram. Details about the route and train schedule are provided below.
Incidentally, Ukrzaliznytsia also recently announced the launch of an express train between Zhytomyr and Kyiv, which is cheaper than a minibus and avoids traffic jams.
Train schedule for train No. 148/147 Zhytomyr — Odesa
The train will run every other day, starting on July 11 from Zhytomyr and on July 10 from Odesa.
● From Zhytomyr to Odesa:
→ Departure: 13:58
→ Arrival: 06:16 the next day
● From Odesa to Zhytomyr:
→ Departure: 19:33
→ Arrival: 12:27 the next day
This schedule is convenient for those who want to arrive at the coast in the morning and immediately immerse themselves in the sea of impressions. The return trip also allows you to leave in the evening and arrive in Zhytomyr the next day without rushing.
Train No. 148/147 offers different classes of cars, so every passenger can choose the option that suits them best: reserved seats, compartments, and SV (luxury).

Zhytomyr – Odessa train route
Train No. 148/147 passes through several picturesque cities in central Ukraine:
● Cherkasy — a city on the Dnieper River that is worth visiting not only as a transit point: here you can stop for a walk along the embankment or an excursion.
● Fastiv
● Hrebinka
● Pomichna
● Voznesensk
For residents of Korosten, there is a convenient transfer in Zhytomyr. Just take regional train No. 887/888 — 889/890 Korosten — Vinnytsia, which runs through Zhytomyr. This allows you to easily reach the main route and continue on to the sea.
