Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled additional trains for the Christmas and New Year holidays. In total, there will be 16 additional trains, trailer cars, and an increase in the frequency of certain regular routes. This was reported by the carrier's press service on its Telegram channel.

The company noted that when planning the holiday schedule, traditional priority was given to the Carpathian route. This decision is intended to provide opportunities for rest and rehabilitation for Ukrainian military personnel, as well as comfortable travel for families with children. In addition, in January, some of these routes will be available as part of the “3000 km across Ukraine” program.

List of additional trains for the holiday period

Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled the following additional trains for the Christmas and New Year period:

● No. 255/256 Kyiv — Rakhiv

● No. 271/272 Kyiv — Ivano-Frankivsk

● No. 237/238 Kyiv — Uzhhorod

● No. 220/219 Kyiv — Dnipro

● No. 248/247 Kyiv — Odesa

● No. 265/266 Kyiv — Odesa

● No. 159/160 Kyiv — Truskavets

● No. 249/250 Kyiv — Lviv

● No. 289/290 Kyiv — Lviv

● No. 291/292 Kyiv — Lviv

● No. 741/742 Kyiv — Lviv

● No. 777/778 Kyiv — Lviv

● No. 197/198 Kyiv — Kovel

● No. 168/167 Odesa — Lviv

The carrier has also scheduled additional high-speed train services from the east and west of the country. These are routes No. 755/756 Kyiv — Lutsk and No. 720/719 Kyiv — Kharkiv, which will relieve pressure on popular holiday routes from Volyn and Slobozhanshchyna.

Trailer cars to western Ukraine

In addition to new trains, Ukrzaliznytsia has increased the capacity of certain international and interregional routes. In particular, additional trailer cars have been assigned from the Dnipro region in the western direction on the Dnipro–Lviv route to train No. 032/031 Zaporizhzhia–Przemyśl.
