Applicants will take the national multi-subject test in 2024 in two sessions: the main one is currently underway (from May 14 to June 25), and an additional one will be held from July 11 to 19.

In connection with this, the question arises for future students, will it be possible to retake the NMT? And what to do if you got low marks for the exam? We will find out further.

Can any of the graduates retake the NMT?

Applicants who did not score the threshold score or are not satisfied with their results will not be able to retake the NMT in 2024.

According to the rules established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, retaking the NMT after the end of the main testing session is provided only if there are valid reasons. Unfortunately, an unsatisfactory rating does not apply to this.

Who has the right to redraw the NMT in 2024?

Only those graduates who, for valid reasons, could not take the exam or complete it during the first session take part in the second session of the NMT.

They include:

- Health problems or feeling unwell before the test (to confirm this fact, you must have a medical certificate or other health document).
- Technical problems at the examination point (including a long absence of light).

- Impossibility of getting to the testing point, in particular from the occupied territory.

- Prolonged air anxiety that prevented the exam or travel to the testing site.

Is it possible to reschedule NMT next year?

The entrant has the right to retake the NMT in the following year. For this, it will be necessary to re-register for the national multi-subject test. That is, create a personal account on the website of the UTSOYAO (Ukrainian Center for Evaluation of the Quality of Education), enter your personal data and select subjects for testing. Also, keep in mind that changes may be introduced in 2025, so be sure to read up-to-date information.

What to do if I did not pass the NMT?

Graduates who failed to obtain the required number of points on the exam will not be able to take part in the competitive selection for universities in 2024.

What to do if I missed the main NMT session?

Graduates who missed the exam for valid reasons can try to register for an additional session. Otherwise, applicants may be denied participation, so they will have to wait for next year.

Also, if the applicant could not attend the exam on time due to valid reasons, he can also register for an additional session. To do this, write a statement at the temporary examination center. You can also send the document to the e-mail address of the Ukrainian Center for the Assessment of the Quality of Education (UCEA) within three days from the date of the exam.

What to do if I did not have time to register for NMT 2024?

Graduates who did not have time to register for the NMT in 2024 will be able to take part in the exam next year.

Therefore, it is possible to translate NMT during the second session only if there are good reasons. Graduates who received an unsatisfactory number of points will have to wait for the next year.
