In 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia presented a new exciting format for family trips — the Traveler's Passport. The project is aimed at children traveling by train in Ukraine and is part of the Iron Friends loyalty program.

What is the Traveler's Passport and how can you get one?

The Traveler's Passport is a small book in which children can collect unique stamps from different Ukrzaliznytsia stations and trains. The idea behind the initiative is to turn every trip into an adventure, stimulating interest in travel, railways, and Ukraine.

Where can you get a “Traveler's Passport” and stamps?

You can get a ‘Passport’ free of charge from a special station assistant or railway employee. This option is currently available:

● from the “angels” at five main stations: in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Vinnytsia.

● from station attendants in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kramatorsk, Uzhhorod, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Kamianets-Podilskyi;

● from the chief conductors of Ukrzaliznytsia's flagship trains;

● from conductors of children's carriages.

After the request, the child will be given a passport and explained how to use it and collect stamps.

What can stamps be exchanged for in the “Traveler's Passport”?

Each stamp collected is not only a part of the route, but also a step towards rewards. Five different stamps are worth 5,000 “hugs,” which is the internal currency of the “Iron Friends” program that can be accumulated in the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app. Fifteen different stamps will earn you a special gift from Ukrzaliznytsia.

Stamps can be exchanged for hugs:

● at the “station angels” (at the same 5 base stations);

● through Ukrrailway's online support — just show a photo or your “Traveler's Passport” through the app or chat support.
