Where to apply for a passport abroad?

If you are abroad and need to apply for or renew your Ukrainian passport, there are two main ways to do so:

- Through a diplomatic mission of Ukraine.

There are Ukrainian embassies and consulates in many countries around the world where citizens can apply for a new passport. Consulates usually provide a full range of consular services. An appointment is required, and waiting times can vary from several weeks to several months. The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine provides detailed information about Ukraine's diplomatic missions around the world.

- Through the Passport Service Centres of the State Enterprise ‘Document’.

In some countries, there are centres of the state enterprise ‘Document’ that provide passport services to Ukrainians abroad. They operate in the format of an ASC, providing faster service in comfortable conditions. It is also possible to choose an urgent service (if such a service is available).
