Ukrainians living in the United Kingdom will soon be able to apply for passports and other documents quickly and easily. Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, has announced that the country is actively working on launching a new passport service that will greatly facilitate bureaucratic procedures for Ukrainians abroad.

What is known about the launch of the passport service in the UK?

According to Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the UK, together with Oksana Kozak, a representative of the state-owned enterprise Document, is actively working on the implementation of this project. The goal is to create a convenient mechanism for issuing passports and other official documents for Ukrainians living in the United Kingdom.

Although the exact timing of the launch has not yet been announced, the ambassador emphasizes that all efforts are being made to get the service up and running as soon as possible. Official details on the location and working hours of the new center will be announced later.

What documents can be issued?

It is expected that the new passport service will allow Ukrainians to:

● issue an ID card or a foreign passport

● extend the validity of a passport

● receive other services provided by the State Enterprise “Document”.

This will greatly simplify the process of obtaining documents, as Ukrainians currently have to apply to consular offices, where there are sometimes long queues and delays in processing.

Employment of Ukrainians in the new center

Another important aspect is the possibility of employment of Ukrainians in the new passport service. Ambassador Zaluzhny said that they are discussing recruiting Ukrainians who have experience in working with documents and currently reside in the UK. This will create additional opportunities for employment and integration of the Ukrainian community into British society.
