Travellers are already making plans for 2026 — and airlines are well aware of this. One of the main indicators of tourism trends in Europe is the route network of the largest low-cost airline, Ryanair. The company has named the destinations that will be the most popular next year thanks to the expansion of flights, the opening of new bases and growing interest from tourists.

Bratislava, Slovakia

The capital of Slovakia is rapidly gaining popularity as a destination for short European trips. Bratislava combines a compact historic centre, medieval architecture, views of the Danube and more affordable prices compared to neighbouring Central European capitals.

In the summer of 2026, Ryanair has planned a record schedule of 33 routes, which the airline estimates will increase passenger traffic by more than 70%. The city is increasingly being chosen for weekends and leisurely cultural trips.

Tirana, Albania

Tirana is becoming one of the most dynamically developing tourist destinations in the Balkans. The city attracts visitors with its vibrant architecture, active city life, cafes and restaurants, as well as its convenient location near the mountains and the sea coast.

In April 2026, Ryanair will open a new base with three aircraft and launch around 450 flights per week on 33 routes. This will make Albania even more accessible to European travellers.

Pescara, Italy

Italy remains one of the most popular tourist destinations, and Pescara is a great alternative to crowded resorts. The city on the Adriatic coast is known for its beaches, seafood cuisine and relaxed atmosphere.

In the summer of 2026, Ryanair will operate hundreds of flights on 21 routes, making Pescara a convenient destination for both beach holidays and trips to central Italy.

Rabat, Morocco

Rabat is one of the most unusual destinations on the list. The historic capital of Morocco combines Eastern culture, an ocean coastline and a more relaxed pace of life compared to the country's tourist metropolises.

In 2026, Ryanair will open a new base here with two aircraft, increasing the number of routes to 20 and connecting Rabat with major European cities.

Gdańsk, Poland

Gdańsk is confidently strengthening its position as one of the most attractive cities on the Baltic coast. The old town, waterfronts, maritime history and developed tourist infrastructure make it a versatile destination for holidays at any time of the year.

In 2026, the city will receive a record Ryanair schedule of 43 routes, making Gdańsk one of the key tourist hubs in the region.

Tip: it is convenient to compare flight options, combine flights with trains or buses, and track price changes through the Visit Ukraine booking system. It allows you to view available tickets for all types of transport in one place and choose the best route based on your budget and travel dates.
