The Driver's Office has resumed online services for booking and storing license plates: conditions, cost and instructions

Online services for booking license plates for 15 days and extending paid storage for 10 days or 1 month are again available in the Driver's Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Service Center. Online services are again available to users, allowing them to quickly and without visiting the MIA service centers to reserve license plates or extend their storage period. This solution returns convenience and flexibility to car owners in planning vehicle registration.

The other day, the Main Service Center of the MIA announced the restoration of two key online services: reservation of license plates for 15 days and extension of paid storage for 10 days or 1 month. 

Both services can be obtained online in the Driver's Office. We will tell you about each in detail in this article.

License plate reservation: what is this service?

The online reservation service allows the car owner to choose the desired license plate and reserve it for 15 days. This is convenient in cases where:

- You are just planning to register a car;

- You want to secure specific numbers in advance;

- You do not have the opportunity to visit the service center right away.

After booking, the selected license plates will be waiting for the owner at the specified service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the specified period.

Is it possible to extend the storage of license plates?

If the car owner does not have time to fix the license plates during the reservation period, he can extend the storage period. The following options are available:

- 10 days - when a short postponement is required.

- 1 month - optimal, if circumstances require additional time.

How much does the license plate storage service cost?

In October, fixed terms and costs for paid storage of license plates were approved, the following tariffs are currently in effect:

- 108 UAH - for 10 days of storage;

- 324 UAH - for 1 month;

- 3153.60 UAH - for 1 year.

Prices are given including VAT (20%), but do not include the bank's commission.

How to book a license plate or apply for a storage service online?

To make a reservation or extend storage, you need to:

Step 1 – Log in to the Driver's Office via ID.GOV.UA or Action.Signature.

Step 2 – Go to the services section related to license plates.

Step 3 – Select the desired operation: reservation or storage.

Step 4 – Confirm the action and pay online.

The whole procedure takes only a few minutes and does not require a physical visit to the service center.
