Autumn Dragobrat through the eyes of Visit Ukraine: when the colours of nature become magic
Autumn is the perfect time to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in true wilderness. The Carpathian landscapes in their October colours, the clean mountain air and the flavours of authentic Hutsulshchyna create an unforgettable journey. Find out more about the ‘Autumn in Dragobrat’ tour with Visit Ukraine
Autumn in the Carpathians is always a bit like a fairy tale. The air is clean and fresh, like crystal, and the forests and mountains are dressed in crimson and gold colours. It is at this time that nature shows its most expressive and emotional landscape — colourful and inspiring. And there is a place where you can experience this autumn in all its glory — the high-altitude resort of Dragobrat.
What awaits travellers on this incredible adventure — we will tell you more in this article.
Polonyna Perci: the beginning of an unforgettable journey
The first day of the trip begins with an unusual introduction — an excursion to Polonyna Perci. Here, at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level, the real world of Hutsul life opens up: a molfar's hut, a traditional sheepfold with brynza, a residence of nalivkas and endless views of Hoverla. This is the perfect start to prepare for the real mountain climb — to Dragobrat. You can only get there by all-terrain vehicle, and the trip itself becomes a highlight of the journey.
Svidovets: where the panoramas eclipse the imagination
The second day of the trip is dedicated to one of the most picturesque ridges of the Carpathians — Svidovets. Tourists set off on a hike that unfolds a full-fledged autumn fairy tale before their eyes: berry bushes, healing springs, peaks with incredible visibility. Mount Stig, a pass with a cable car, the Jandarm peak with landscapes reminiscent of Iceland — each step opens a new page in the mountain book. The culmination is Mount Blyznytsia, the highest point of the route, and Lake Ivor, like a jewel hidden between the peaks.
Mountain vats and Hutsul relaxation
After an active day at altitude, it's time to relax. Carpathian vats against the backdrop of the sunset spreading over the mountains are the perfect end to a busy day.

Transcarpathia from the inside: cheese, beer and waterfalls
On the third day of the trip, tourists immerse themselves in the flavours and natural depths of Transcarpathia. The tall and picturesque Trufanets Waterfall greets them with the sound of mountain water, and the village of Kvasy with its healing springs. The Rosental eco-farm introduces visitors to the true art of cheese making, while the Tsipa craft brewery introduces them to beer, each sip of which echoes with the power and purity of the mountains.
The final chord is the Yablunytsky Pass. The view of the Chornogora and Svidovets ridges is particularly impressive here, and the souvenir market allows you to take a piece of the Carpathians with you.
Autumn in Dragobrat is a complete immersion in the magic of nature, culture and taste.
If you are looking for inspiration for your next trip, this adventure is for you.
