Delays of Ukrainian Railways trains: how night attacks affected train traffic
Night shelling caused damage to the railway and forced several trains to change their routes. Ukrzaliznytsia assures that passengers will reach their destinations with transfers and in additional carriages. Find out which trains are delayed
As a result of another series of night attacks by russia, infrastructure facilities were damaged, leading to delays and route changes for several trains. Work to restore the railway network is currently ongoing.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, energy and railway workers are working around the clock to restore full power supply as quickly as possible and return trains to their normal schedule.
Despite the difficulties, the carrier is organizing transfers, additional cars, and route changes to minimize inconvenience to passengers.
Which trains have changed their routes?
Chernivtsi – Zaporizhzhia / Zaporizhzhia – Chernivtsi (No. 116/115)
Train No. 116 is only running to Dnipro today. Passengers will continue their journey on train No. 5. The return trip will be combined with train No. 6 in Dnipro.
Lviv – Zaporizhia / Zaporizhia – Lviv (No. 86/127)
Train No. 86 runs only to Dnipro. From there, train No. 127 departs for Lviv. Additional cars have been provided for passengers between Dnipro and Zaporizhia.
Dnipro – Lviv / Lviv – Dnipro (No. 79/80)
Train No. 79 runs to Kyiv. Passengers are transferred to an additional train that departs for Lviv after full boarding. A similar scheme works for the return trip.
Dnipro – Chełm (No. 119)
To avoid delays, the train bypassed Kyiv. Passengers were transported by carriages to Fastiv-2 station, where they were connected to the main train. In Chełm, Poland, buses were organized in cooperation with partners for further transportation.
Kherson – Kramatorsk / Kherson – Lviv (No. 101/102 and No. 109/110)
Passengers on these flights are transferred to additional carriages to Mykolaiv. From there, they continue their journey on their trains. The departure of additional trains is coordinated with the schedule of the main flights.
