Poland is launching the Aktywny Rodzic program: starting in August 2025, parents will be able to receive up to PLN 1,500 per child, and up to PLN 1,900 for children with disabilities. Find out who is eligible for assistance and how to apply
Starting August 29, 2025, Poland will begin making the first payments under the new Aktywny Rodzic program. It is available to both Polish and Ukrainian families residing in the country. The assistance does not depend on the parents' income, but there are several conditions and areas of support. This was reported by inpoland.net.pl.
What is Aktywny Rodzic?
The program was officially launched in October 2024. It replaced the Family Care Capital (RKO) and significantly expanded financial support for parents:
- the nursery allowance was increased from PLN 400 to PLN 1,500,
- payments are now also available for the first child.
Thus, the program covers a larger number of families and offers various forms of assistance depending on whether the parents work, send their child to a nursery, or care for them at home.
What types of support are available?
Aktywnie w pracy
PLN 1,500 per month for two years (from the 12th to the 35th month of the child's life) if the parents work until the child reaches the age of 3.
For children with disabilities — PLN 1,900 per month.
Aktywnie w żłobku
compensation for staying in a nursery, children's clubs, or under the care of a nanny;
up to PLN 1,500 per month per child, and PLN 1,900 for children with disabilities.
Aktywnie w domu
PLN 500 per month per child from 12 to 35 months;
the payment is provided to all children without exception.
