By July 31, 2025, all male citizens of Ukraine who turn 17 this year must register for military service. This was reminded by the Chernihiv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRSS).

Who is subject to registration?

Young men who turn 17 this year are subject to military registration. This procedure is mandatory, but, as emphasized by the TCC, registration does not mean automatic conscription into military service. It is only a matter of recording data in the state register.

Persons who are not subject to registration are those who:

- are serving sentences in penal institutions;

- are undergoing compulsory treatment.

If the deadline is missed, the person must appear in person at the district or city TCC and SP to complete the procedure.

How to register for military service?

There are two ways to submit data:

Online — through the conscript's electronic account:

- undergo electronic identification;

- update personal data in the system.

Offline— in person at the territorial center for recruitment and social support (TCK and SP) at your place of residence.

List of required documents:

- Ukrainian passport;

- Birth certificate;

- Extract from the territorial community register (information about your registered/declared place of residence);

- Certificate of registration as an internally displaced person (if available);

- Identification code (document of registration in the State Register of Citizens);

- Document of education;

- Certificate from place of study or work (if available);

- 4 photographs measuring 35×45 mm (without headwear).

Why is this important?

Military registration is not only a duty, but also part of the state defense system. It allows for keeping track of human resources and forming mobilization resources in times of martial law. Therefore, timely completion of the procedure is important for both the state and every citizen.
