The new service will provide convenient connections to international trains and meet the needs of residents of important regional centers.

Timetable and route of train No. 39/40

The route of the new train is designed to connect Zaporizhia, Dnipro, Chop, and Solotvyno, while creating a logistical base for travel to EU countries.

Return routes: convenient return from abroad

For those returning from Europe, there are connections with train No. 39/40 to the following trains:

→ No. 642 Nyíregyháza – Mukachevo

→ No. 122 Prague – Chop

→ No. 644 Zahony – Chop

→ No. 960 Košice – Mukachevo

Improved connections for residents of other cities

The change in the route is also of great importance for residents of Tyachiv, Khust, Teresva, Korolevo, Vynogradiv, Berehove, and Solotvyno. Previously, they had to make several transfers to travel abroad or to central Ukraine. Now, with train No. 39/40, these cities have direct access to the Chop junction station and international destinations.

For example, a resident of Khust will be able to travel to Chop without changing trains and board a train to Prague or Budapest, and upon return, immediately continue their journey to their hometown.

To avoid queues at ticket offices and check ticket availability, Ukrzaliznytsia advises planning your trip in advance. The easiest way to do this is through the carrier's digital services or the Visit Ukraine portal, where you can not only buy train tickets online, but also instantly find alternative routes, check availability, and combine trips with flights and bus routes. This is especially convenient for trips to Europe.

We remind you! Ukrzaliznytsia is resuming service to Zakarpattia after track modernization. Read about which trains are running again to resort towns, which routes have been extended, and when ticket sales will open in our previous article.
