– outpatient treatment (visit to a specialist, examination and consultation, instrumental and laboratory examinations) in the event of an insured event.

– medicines prescribed by a doctor to provide assistance in the event of an insured event.

– hospitalisation (stay in a ward, intensive care unit, resuscitation ward, medical care prescribed by a doctor, purchase of medicines).

– coverage of the costs of isolation of the insured person and persons who have been in close contact with the insured person.

– COVID-19 testing of persons who have been in contact with the insured person, etc.

What is medical insurance with coverage for military risks?

In the context of military operations in Ukraine, medical insurance covering military risks is particularly relevant. Standard travel insurance policies do not usually cover injuries or illnesses resulting from combat operations, terrorist acts or other military conflicts.

A policy covering military risks includes:

– diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19, including the costs of compulsory observation;

– outpatient treatment (doctor's visits, consultations, examinations, etc.), medication (prescribed by a doctor) and hospitalisation (stay in an intensive care unit, resuscitation ward, purchase of medicines, etc.);

– emergency dental care;

– medical evacuation (if necessary);

– repatriation of the insured person (or their body in the event of death) from their place of stay to their place of permanent residence;

– accidents, injuries and fatalities that may occur as a result of active or passive military risks or terrorist acts.
