On Monday, May 19, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Kyiv time, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine will open registration for cash assistance. This is stated on the organization's website.

When and how to apply?

Applications can be submitted online within 9 days — until 5:00 p.m. on May 27.

The application must be completed via a special link to the landing page published on the NRC's official website.

The amount of assistance is 10,800 hryvnia per person. A household can receive funding for up to five people.

Who is eligible for assistance?

Payments are available to households that meet the NRC's vulnerability criteria. Priority is given to those who:

- live in areas of hostilities;

- were forced to leave their homes due to the war;

- have returned to de-occupied territories.

Each application is reviewed to ensure that the most vulnerable groups are prioritized.

Important! Only those who are in Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders can apply.

If you have already received assistance from the NRC, you can still apply again.

In addition, if assistance was received less than six months ago, the household may be excluded from consideration.

Required documents

Before submitting your application, please prepare:

- passport or ID card.

- IDP certificate (for households with IDPs).

- birth certificates of children (if available).

- Taxpayer identification numbers (TIN) for all household members aged 18 and older.

- Bank account number in IBAN format (UA + 27 characters). Social security, pension, or “YePidtrymka” accounts are not accepted.

- Documents confirming the vulnerability of the household. These documents include: Disability certificate or certificate from a medical and social expert commission; pension certificate; certificate of large family; certificate of pregnancy; certificate of single mother or single father status; medical certificate confirming serious illness or chronic disease.

Photos must be clear, in color, and taken horizontally. Screenshots must include all the necessary information.

Application status check

A message with a verification code will be sent only after May 27. If you registered earlier, the old code is invalid — use the new one after completing the registration.

Additional recommendations

1. Add an email address for feedback.

2. If there are more than five people in your family, submit two separate applications (each must include two different adults).

3. Only the first attempt will be considered. Subsequent attempts will be automatically deleted.

4. Turn on GPS on your device — applications without current geolocation will not be accepted.

We remind you!
 Internally displaced persons in Ukraine can take advantage of the opportunity to receive a preferential housing loan through the Diia portal. This greatly simplifies the process of obtaining the necessary financial support for those who have lost their homes due to the war.
