How to get to Ukraine from Israel in 2025?

The most convenient and fastest way to get to Ukraine is to fly to one of the airports in Europe, which is located near the Ukrainian border, and from there continue the journey by train or bus.

Ukraine borders Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova. There are many direct flights to these countries from the Netherlands.

Israel - Poland

- You can get to Warsaw by direct flight from Tel Aviv. Ticket price starts from $200. Travel time is about 3 hours 50 minutes. The flight is operated by Israel's largest airline El Al. Departure at 06:00, arrival in Warsaw at 08:50. Polish airline LOT offers a flight on a similar route with departure at 05:05 and 10:45.

- Krakow is the closest Polish airport to the Ukrainian border, where direct flights from Israel operate. The distance from Krakow to Lviv is 328 km. You can get here by direct flight from Tel Aviv four times a week - on Mondays and Fridays. Ticket price starts from $250. Travel time is 3 hours 55 minutes, departure is around 05:00.

- You can fly to Rzeszow (Rzeszów) only with a transfer, most often in Warsaw. Rzeszow Airport is the closest Polish airport to the Ukrainian border, it is located 172 km from Lviv (Ukraine). The duration of such a trip is more than 6 hours, the ticket price starts from 350 dollars.

Israel - Moldova

Direct flights from Tel Aviv to Chisinau Airport fly daily. Ticket prices start at $180. Travel time is 2 hours 50 minutes.

The distance to the Ukrainian border from Chisinau is 130 km - the Palanka checkpoint (Odesa region). The nearest large Ukrainian city is Odesa. Tourists planning a trip to the southern regions of Ukraine should choose a flight to Chisinau Airport. Departures are available at different times of the day - 1:30 PM, 4:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 11:50 PM, etc.

There is a direct train from Chisinau to Kyiv. Bus transfers to Odessa are also available.

Israel - Hungary

You can fly to Debrecen, the Hungarian airport closest to the Ukrainian border, only with a transfer, most often in Budapest. Ticket price starts at $300.

There are direct flights to Budapest from Tel Aviv. Travel time from 3 hours 35 minutes, ticket price from 200 dollars.

Israel - Romania

Only connecting flights are available to Suceava, usually in Bucharest. The price of the ticket is from 350 dollars, the duration of the trip is from 6 hours and 30 minutes.

You can easily get to Chernivtsi from Suceava, there is a daily bus from the bus station, the journey to Chernivtsi takes 2-3 hours.

Most of the tourists prefer the railway because of its speed and comfort. Ukraine is connected to European cities by the following trains:

- Poland - from Warsaw you can get to Kyiv, from Przemyśl - to Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, from Chelm - to Kyiv, Dnipro and Kharkiv.
