Repairs completed: train traffic resumed on the Yasinya — Voronenko section — minor delays are possible

After temporary complications caused by soil subsidence, Ukrzaliznytsia has completed urgent repairs on the important Yasinya - Voronenko section. Starting Tuesday, May 27, the company will resume full-fledged passenger train traffic in both directions, which is especially important for travelers planning a vacation in the Carpathians.

What happened on the Yasinya - Voronenko section?

Last week, the ground subsidence occurred on the Yasinya - Voronenko section, located in Ivano-Frankivsk region near Vorokhta. Such situations are not uncommon in mountainous areas, where difficult terrain and weather conditions can affect the condition of the railway infrastructure.

As a result, train traffic was temporarily restricted and a bus shuttle service was organized for passengers from Rakhiv and Yasinia.

Train traffic in the Carpathians resumed, but at a reduced speed

According to the carrier, trains have been running again in both directions since May 27 through the Yasinya - Voronenko section. However, due to safety concerns, the traffic is restricted to a lower speed limit. This can cause delays of up to 15 minutes after Yasinya station. In the opposite direction, the schedule will be promptly restored, so no significant deviations are expected for passengers.

Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes that the restoration work was completed ahead of schedule. This allowed us to minimize the period of inconvenience for passengers and return traffic to the full section, which is important on the eve of the summer tourist season in the Carpathians.
