As part of expanding partnerships in the tourism community, searching for new unique tours, routes and guides, and promoting the Visit Ukraine portal, our team took part in the National Tourism Forum, which took place on 25–26 April in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

Searching for new opportunities for tourism development in Ukraine

The forum brought together leading players in the tourism business, representatives of the State Agency for Tourism Development of Ukraine (DART), members of the Ukrainian parliament and participants from the HoReCa sector. The main topic of the event was a discussion of the challenges and prospects for the development of the tourism industry in the current environment.

Representatives of Visit Ukraine not only took part in the main part of the forum, but also actively participated in an advertising and information tour for tour operators and event agencies. The info tour programme was packed:

– We got to know the region's hotel base.

– We discovered new unique historical and natural locations.

– We discussed the prospects for the development of domestic tourism.

– We exchanged experiences and established useful business contacts.

On the first day of the event, we participated in key panel discussions:

– The relevance of tourism during the war.

– Rehabilitation, sports and social tourism.

– How to unlock the tourism potential of small communities.

We also took part in thematic panel sessions:

– Artificial intelligence: a new future for tourism.

– Smart City projects and payment technologies.

– Digital marketing in the promotion of brands and territories.

– Gastronomy of Ukraine's historical regions.

Kamianets-Podilskyi impressed us with its hospitality, unique sights and potential for creating new tourism products. The info tour became an important platform for exchanging ideas, inspiration and finding ways for professional growth in the industry.

We would like to express our special gratitude to the organisers and partners of the event — Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, Drukarni Zmin, Kamianets-Podilskyi State Historical Museum-Reserve, as well as Kateryna Kozhukhar and Tetiana Ovcharuk personally, and the Terra Podolika project — for the professional organisation of the forum and info tour.

Visit Ukraine continues to work on enriching its tour database, opening new destinations and creating unique tourist products for Ukrainians and visitors to our country and very soon the portal will feature interesting tours of Kamianets-Podilskyi.

New exciting projects and even more opportunities for the development of domestic tourism lie ahead!
