The main session of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) 2025, the key exam for admission to Ukrainian higher education institutions, begins in May. Applicants will have to pass tests in four subjects, three of which are compulsory: Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history of Ukraine. The fourth subject is optional.

Basic information about NMT-2025

The main session will be held from May 14 to June 25, and the additional session will be held from July 14 to 25. Testing will be conducted in special centers, including abroad. Participants will take exams in one day in two stages of two hours each with a 20-minute break.

The results of the main session will be announced by July 4, and the results of the supplementary session by July 30.

How many points do I need to score?

To consider the test passed, you need to overcome the minimum threshold of 15% of the maximum number of test points:

Compulsory subjects:

Ukrainian language: 7-45 points

Mathematics: 5-32 points

History of Ukraine: 8-54 points

Subjects to choose from:

Ukrainian literature: 7-45 points

Foreign language: 5-35 points

Biology: 7-46 points

Physics: 5-32 points

Chemistry: 6-40 points

Geography: 7-46 points

The minimum score is 100 points, the maximum is 200 points.

Passing score for admission

In 2024, a minimum of 130 points was required for admission to a state-funded program. It is expected that this year the threshold will remain at the same level. For paid education, the passing score is determined by each university individually.

For certain specialties, you need to have at least 150 points, even for paid education:

Law

Public management and administration

International relations

Healthcare (dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, pediatrics)

Admission to artistic and sports specialties additionally involves a creative competition, which is decisive.

Weighting factors are also taken into account, which determine the importance of subjects for a particular specialty.

What to do if I didn't get enough points?

Admission to a vocational school or college

You can enter a vocational school or college with a certificate without a NMT. Afterwards, having a diploma, you can enter the 2nd or 3rd year of university without taking NMT.

Education abroad

Many European countries do not require NMT. The main condition is a confirmed knowledge of the local or English language with an appropriate certificate.

Filing an appeal

If there were any violations during the test, the participant can file an appeal. If the appeal is satisfied, the participant is allowed to take the test at an additional session.

We remind you!
