On the night of 30 May, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine conducted a new operation in russian-occupied Crimea. During the attack by surface drones, several occupiers' boats were destroyed. Here are the details of the operation and what other targets Ukraine could have hit on the peninsula last night.
A new blow to Crimea and the russian navy
Residents of some regions of Crimea woke up at night to loud explosions. In the morning, it became known that the occupied peninsula had suffered a combined attack by the Ukrainian army. The russian ministry of defence, as usual, stated that all Ukrainian targets had been destroyed. However, as it turned out, the russians suffered losses in naval equipment.
In the morning, the Main Intelligence Directorate (MID) released a video showing a Ukrainian unmanned surface boat sailing under air strikes. In another shot, a drone is already crashing into the ship's silhouette.
Ukrainian intelligence officers reported that a special unit, Group 13, had destroyed two russian tuna boats using the already famous Magura V5 attack drones.
On the evening of 30 May, the MID issued an update stating that not two, but four Tuna boats were destroyed during the operation.

What is known about the Tuna boat?
Ukrainian intelligence notes that the boats that were hit in Crimea on the night of 30 May are used by the russian army for logistics and patrolling the temporarily occupied peninsula.
At the same time, some media outlets claim that these boats could have been used by the russians as an obstacle for Ukrainian drones to prevent them from attacking the Crimean bridge, which has long been in the crosshairs of the Ukrainian armed forces and has been blown up twice during the war.
It seems that Tuna is not the only one
According to the russian media, a total of seven targets were hit during the night attack, including four KS-701 Tuna boats, two ferries - Avangard and Conro Trader, and the pilot boat Mriya.
In addition, the operation resulted in five injuries to crew members and trainees.
It is worth noting that in 2024 alone, the Ukrainian intelligence special unit Group 13 destroyed four ships of the russian Black Sea Fleet using maritime drones. Some of them were used to fire cruise missiles at Ukrainian cities.
By the way, the Visit Ukraine online store still offers items with the world-famous "russian warship" print. This particular model is extremely popular not only in Ukraine but also around the world. So, hurry up and order unique T-shirts, sweatshirts and mugs with the Moscow cruiser print. You can place your order here.
We remind you! The Security Service of Ukraine continues to improve its fleet of unmanned maritime drones, which are famous for hunting russian ships in the Black Sea. This time, the Sea Baby drones have been reinforced with multiple launch rocket systems. You can read where they have already been used against the occupiers here.
