Who needs insurance to enter Latvia?

Medical insurance is mandatory for most people planning to visit Latvia:

– Tourists who obtain a Schengen visa must provide an insurance policy with a minimum coverage of €30,000, valid throughout the Schengen area.

– Students and persons travelling for work are also required to have medical insurance covering all costs related to emergency medical care.

General requirements for insurance policies for short-term and long-term trips to Latvia
