Yulia Navalnaya, the wife of russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who recently died in a russian prison, spoke at the European Parliament and mentioned the war in Ukraine. Here's what the politician's widow said and how she believes the world can defeat russian dictator vladimir putin.
Addressing the European Parliament, Navalnaya recalled that last Saturday marked two years since putin launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, calling the invasion "vile and treacherous".
"The whole world rushed to help Ukraine. But two years have passed. There is a lot of fatigue, a lot of blood, a lot of disappointment, and Putin has not gone anywhere. All means have been used: weapons, money, sanctions... Nothing works... And the worst thing happened: everyone began to get used to the war... Here and there, people began to say: "Well, we'll have to negotiate with putin anyway", she said.

To defeat putin, we need to become innovators
The oppositionist's wife noted that putin must answer for what he did to her husband and "a beautiful neighbouring country". According to her, the "public murder" of her husband showed that putin "is capable of anything and that he cannot be negotiated with". In order to defeat the russian dictator, Navalny's wife believes that we need to become "innovators".
"You have to stop being boring. It is impossible to harm putin with another resolution or another package of sanctions that is no different from the previous ones. You cannot defeat him by thinking of him as a man with principles, who has morals and rules. He is not like that, and Oleksiy realised this long ago. You are not dealing with a politician, but with a bloody monster", Navalnaya said in the European Parliament.
She also said that putin is the leader of an organised criminal group, which includes poisoners and hired killers, and those close to the russian dictator are his friends, henchmen, and keepers of the mafia cash register.
Navalnaya advised to confront putin not with diplomatic notes, but with investigations into financial fraud, the search for mafia accomplices in European countries, and the invisible lawyers and financiers who help putin hide money.
Navalny's death
As you know, russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who had been serving a prison sentence for several years, died on 16 February in the Penal Colony No. 3. According to the information disseminated by the russian media, Navalny "had a blood clot". Interestingly, Ukrainian intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov confirms this version of the russian oppositionist's death.
"I may disappoint you, but what we know is that he really died of a blood clot. And this is more or less confirmed", he said.
We remind you! russian special services are conducting a special operation to destabilise the situation in Ukraine. The operation is called Maidan-3. We will tell you when to expect its culmination and how it should end here.
