Solution to the problem

According to experts from the German Economic Institute, Germany will not be able to solve the problem of the shortage of skilled workers without a significant increase in migration.

In March 2023, the country employed a record number of residents - 45.6 million people, but this growth in the labor force was due to migrants. Especially migrants from non-EU countries, including Ukraine.

According to the head of the Federal Employment Agency, Andrea Nahles, Germany needs migration of both labor and skilled workers.
