From now on, it is possible to get from New York to the Polish city of Rzeszow, near the border with Ukraine, and vice versa. Polish airline LOT will operate flights once a week. This will make traveling to Ukraine much easier for US residents. 

New York - Rzeszow flight: what is known 

Starting March 27, traveling to Ukraine will be much easier for US residents, as regular flights from New York to the Polish city of Rzeszow, located near the border with Ukraine, will be operated every Sunday.

• The New York - Rzeszow flight will be operated every Sunday. Departure from Newark Airport. Travel time will be 8 hours and 50 minutes.

• The Rzeszow - New York flight will be operated every Monday. Departure from Rzeszow Airport. Travel time will be 10 hours. 

The cost of tickets from Rzeszow to New York starts from 4,200 PLN ($980) round-trip with hand luggage. The cost of a ticket when traveling with luggage up to 23 kg starts from PLN 4700 ($1100).

The flights will be operated by a Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which can accommodate 252 passengers.

The Polish city of Rzeszów is located 85 km from the Krakowiec checkpoint on the border with Ukraine. Therefore, it is quite easy to get to Ukraine from Rzeszow, as there are many regular bus services and other transportation options.
