Ukraine will soon start the 2025 admission campaign to higher education institutions. According to Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrainian Radio, the registration of applications for admission to universities will begin on July 19.

Admission campaign schedule

As of today, the main session of the National Multisubject Test (NMT) is still underway and will end on June 25. By July 4, all applicants will receive their results, after which the active phase of the admission campaign will begin.

Starting July 1, applicants will be able to create personal electronic accounts in the system. Starting July 19, they will be able to submit applications for admission. Applications will be accepted until the end of July. In early August, it will be known who has been admitted and on what basis (budget or contract).

How many applications can be submitted?

In 2025, applicants will have the right to submit up to 15 applications:

5 applications for the state-funded form of education;

10 applications for a contract.

Possibility to receive a grant

If an applicant does not get into the budget, but enters on a contract, he or she will still have a chance to receive a grant that will partially cover the cost of education - it will depend on the results of the NMT.

The applicant's electronic account will indicate which study conditions they can apply for - budget or contract. This will allow you to make informed decisions about choosing a university.

An alternative is vocational education

Mykhailo Vynnytsky also drew attention to the growing popularity of vocational education among 9th grade graduates.

According to him, the Ministry is actively investing in the modernization of workshops and facilities, which helps to facilitate the faster placement of college graduates in the labor market.

We remind you! The Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA) has expanded the list of cities abroad where Ukrainian graduates will be able to take the NMT-2025.
