Ukrainian citizens between the ages of 25 and 60 who were deemed partially fit for military service before 4 May 2024 need to go through the military medical commission (MMC) again by 5 June 2024. This is a mandatory procedure regulated by Ukrainian law, and failure to comply with the established deadlines may result in serious consequences.

What if I don't pass the MMC by 5 June?

Violators will be fined. If a person liable for military service does not pass the MMC within the established time frame, he faces administrative liability. According to Article 210 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences, the fine can range from 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnia.

Loss of ‘limited fitness’ status. In addition, if a citizen fails to comply with the law and does not pass the repeat MMC, he will lose his ‘limited fitness’ status. This means that he will no longer be protected from mobilisation as before and may be mobilised on general grounds.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reminds that in case of non-compliance with the requirements of the law, the authorities will act as follows:

1. Submit applications to the police: The TCC and SP will send requests to the National Police of Ukraine through electronic interaction with the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Servicemen and Reservists.

2. Detention and delivery to the TCC: The police will carry out administrative detentions and deliver citizens subject to military service to the nearest district (city) TCC for a mandatory medical examination.

3. Administrative liability: Delivered citizens will be held administratively liable and sent for a repeat examination after the completion of the period established by law.
