What is a property insurance policy and why is it needed?

A property insurance policy is the main proof of the conclusion of a property insurance contract. The procedure is regulated by the Law of Ukraine ‘On Insurance’ and the Civil Code of Ukraine.

A property insurance policy is a written form of an insurance contract concluded between the insured (owner or other legal user of the property) and the insurer (insurance company). This document certifies the conclusion of a real estate insurance contract, defines the object of insurance (specific real estate), the list of insurance risks, the amount of insurance coverage, the term of the contract, the amount of the insurance premium, the rights and obligations of the parties, as well as the procedure for making insurance payments in the event of an insured event provided for in the contract.

The policy guarantees you full or partial financial compensation for losses in the event of an insured event.

What does a standard policy usually cover?

1. Select the sum insured and the start date of the policy.

2. Fill out the form with information about the property (address) and the person insuring the property (full name, date of birth, passport details, tax identification number, contact phone number and email).

3. Agree to the terms of the contract and confirm the registration (using a special code that will be sent to your email).

4. Pay for the insurance in a convenient way.

5. Receive the finished apartment insurance policy at the specified email address.
