Neue Tagesverbindung von UZ: von Kolomyia nach Lutsk über Lviv und Ivano-Frankivsk

Starting May 6, 2025, Ukrzaliznytsia will launch a new regional route No. 815/816 “Kolomyia - Lutsk - Kolomyia” that will connect three important regions of Western Ukraine - Prykarpattia, Galicia, and Volyn.

The new train will provide daytime rail service between Kolomyia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Lutsk, which will significantly expand passenger transportation opportunities in the western region. Thanks to the convenient schedule, residents and visitors will be able to plan trips for both work and tourism.

“The train will run through Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv to Lutsk, opening a convenient direct connection between the three regional centers,” Ukrzaliznytsia said.

Schedule of the train

In the direction of Lutsk: the train will depart from Kolomyia every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 06:55 and arrive in Lutsk at 14:20.

In the opposite direction: the train will depart from Lutsk to Kolomyia on the same days at 15:17, arriving in Kolomyia at 22:35.

On the remaining days of the week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday - the train will run on a shortened route “Kolomyia - Lviv - Kolomyia”, which also covers Ivano-Frankivsk. This will provide daily morning and evening rail service between the key cities of Galicia.

The route will be operated by a modern Polish-made PESA 620M rail bus, which has already proven itself on Ukrainian railways. This type of train is known for its comfort: the cabins are equipped with air conditioning systems, comfortable seats, and wireless gadget chargers, which is especially convenient for long day trips.

Where to buy tickets?

Tickets for the new train will be available from April 27. They can be purchased at any railway ticket office, through the Ukrzaliznytsia mobile app, or online on the official website.

The new train will become an important link in the transportation connection of the western region, allowing even more people to travel conveniently, quickly and comfortably.
