Some Ukrainian citizens living in Poland and having the status of PESEL UKR can count on new monetary assistance. With reference to YAVP, we tell you where and how to apply.

Two aid projects have been launched in Poland, but they are exactly the same, but they operate on the territory of different voivodships:

- The Polish Red Cross accepts applications from Ukrainians living in the following voivodeships: Lower Silesia, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Lublin, Lodz, Mazowieckie, Opolskie, Podkarpackie, Pomeranian and Świętokrzyskie.

- Fundacja Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej accepts applications in the Silesian, Małopolska, Warmińsko-Mazurskie, Podlaskie, Wielkopolskie, West Pomeranian and Lubuszkie voivodships.

Who can count on the aid and how to apply?

The assistance will be paid to Ukrainian refugees who have the PESEL UKR status and are living in collective accommodation centres.

Within the Programme Framework, Ukrainians will receive assistance for self-sufficiency - the funds will be paid as support to cover the costs of moving out of collective accommodation centres, for a deposit and to pay part of the rent. The money should also help people to buy furniture and equipment.

The payments will last for six months. The maximum amount of aid is 3.5 thousand PLN per family. Payments depend on the number of people:

- A room for one person - up to one thousand zlotys;

- House/apartment for one or two people - up to 2.2 thousand PLN;

- House/apartment for three or four people - up to PLN 2.8 thousand;

- House/apartment for five or more people - up to PLN 3.5 thousand.
