Starting from 1 August, Ukrzaliznytsya will temporarily change the rules for selling tickets for international railway flights. This step is aimed at combating the abnormal activity of resellers. We tell you what will change for passengers.

How will it be possible to buy a ticket for an international train now?

According to the company's statement, from 1 August to buy tickets for a number of flights from Ukraine to the EU countries will need to be verified through "Diya".

The flights that fall under the new rules are:

• No. 19/20 Kiev - Chelm - Kiev;

• No. 23/24 Kiev - Chelm - Kiev;

• No. 51/52 Kiev - Peremyshl - Kiev;

• No. 89/90 Kiev - Peremyshl - Kiev;

• No. 73/ 74 Kharkiv - Peremyshl - Kharkiv.

Thus, when buying tickets for the above flights, passengers will need to verify through "Diya.Pidpis" in the application and on the website of "Ukrzaliznytsia" for the sale of tickets.

It is worth noting that similar verification is already applied to hype flights from/to Warsaw and Vienna.

It should also be emphasised that the decision is a temporary measure for the peak period of transportations in order to combat the abnormal activity of overbuyers, as now specialists of Ukrzaliznytsia block up to 50 attempts of mass purchase of tickets per day.
