The Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympics will take place on Friday, July 26 in Paris. Find out how to witness this grand event and not miss the key moments.

Location and time of the event

This year's Opening Ceremony will take place along the Seine River in Paris. For the first time in history, delegations of athletes will sail on boats along the river, providing a unique spectacle for spectators. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 21:30 Kyiv time.

Where to watch the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games?

In Ukraine, the official broadcaster of the Olympics is Suspilne. The live broadcast will be available on Suspilne's regional TV channels, as well as on the Suspilne Sport channel.

Who will perform at the opening ceremony?

The ceremony is expected to feature performances by famous stars, including Celine Dion, Lady Gaga and Aya Nakamura. French President Emmanuel Macron will inaugurate the Games. The show will be directed by Thomas Jolly.

The start of the competition

The Olympics competitions began even before the official opening, namely on July 24. From then until August 11, more than 10.5 thousand athletes will compete in 32 sports for 329 sets of awards in Paris.
