The Olympic Games have changed the daily lives of Ile-de-France residents, especially when it comes to public transportation. During the competition, fares will almost double! This is because the network is overloaded due to the influx of tourists. For example, a metro ticket will rise from 2.10 euros to 4 euros. And a collective ticket for 20 trips will cost 32 euros instead of 16.90 euros.

The Paris City Hall recommends that residents of the Ile-de-France who do not have Navigo or Liberté+ passes but plan to use public transport during the Olympic Games purchase tickets until July 20, 2024 at the old prices.

The best option for tourists is to purchase a Paris 2024 pass for 16 euros per day or 70 euros per week.

Current prices for public transportation in Paris

From July 20 to September 8, the cost of a T+ ticket will be 4 euros instead of the previous 2.15 euros. And bus tickets will cost as much as 5 euros. 

You should also pay attention to the following price changes:

1. Roissy and Orly tickets: 16 euros;

2. Navigo Easy booklet (10 tickets): 32 euros;

3. Paris - suburbs ticket: 6 euros;

4. Day pass (all zones): 16 euros per day, 70 euros per week.

In addition, the routes of trams T2, T3a and T3b have been changed, and the metro stations Tuileries (lines 1, 8, 12), Concorde (1) and Champs-Elysée - Clemenceau (1 and 13) are closed.
