The taxi service Uber has launched a water transportation service this summer. The service is currently available in France, Italy, Greece, and Spain.

In this way, Uber aims to provide tourists with the opportunity to reach secret places that are impossible to reach by public transport. There are many options for traveling: from tourist cruises to luxury yachts.

Uber Cruise in Paris

Uber Cruise will be launched in Paris for the Olympic Games, offering free one-hour rides. You can book a cruise along the Seine from July 12 to August 3, 2024. Participants will be able to enjoy views of iconic landmarks such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower, and even receive a free glass of wine.

Limo Boat in Venice

Due to restrictions on the entry of cruise ships to Venice, watercraft remain an important way to get around the city. Starting July 3, 2024, residents and visitors of Venice can call a water taxi through the Uber service by ordering a Limo Boat. 

These boats cost from 120 euros per trip and can accommodate up to six people at a time. The service is available daily from 8:00 to 20:00. The service operates at almost 200 specialized pick-up and drop-off points throughout the city, providing convenient transportation in Venice.

Uber Boat in Greece

Last summer, a pilot project of the Uber boat taxi service was launched on the Greek island of Mykonos. This season, the service has been expanded to other locations in Greece. 

Starting in July 2024, the Uber app has added the ability to call a boat, allowing guests of Athens, Corfu, and Santorini to explore even hard-to-reach beaches and taverns. The service is available from 9:00 to 21:00, and prices vary depending on the location: the minimum cost starts at 200 euros per boat.

Uber Yachts in Ibiza

Ibiza is known as the European party capital and often offers tourists only luxury expensive vacations. However, thanks to Uber's new yacht hailing service, tourists can save a little money. 

Starting in August 2024, every day at 12:00, you can go on an eight-hour trip from Ibiza on a luxury yacht Sunseeker. A group of up to eight people will enjoy a personal skipper, a complimentary bottle of champagne, and local snacks. The cost of such a trip is 1600 euros, including a transfer from the hotel to the marina. 

Guests can plan their own itinerary. However, due to the changeable European weather, the availability of the service may be limited.
