In June 2024, Ukravtoprom recorded a decline in sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine. Overall, since the beginning of 2024, the overall decline in such purchases has been observed for the first time since 2023. Demand for new cars in Ukraine in June 2024

In total, 5,200 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine in June. According to statistics, this is 8% less than in June 2023 and 7% less than in May 2024.

At the same time, the popularity of electric cars imported from abroad continues to grow in Ukraine. Thus, since the beginning of 2024, a record number of cars with electric motors have been imported into Ukraine. ● Toyota - 853 cars;

● BMW - 545 cars;

● Renault - 487 cars;

● Skoda - 278 cars;

● Volkswagen - 269 cars.

Rating of used car sales in Ukraine in May 2024

It is worth noting that at the same time, the statistics of used car purchases in Ukraine is growing rapidly.

In May 2024, the service centres of the Ministry of Internal Affairs recorded 1,622 thousand transactions of sale and purchase of used cars. This figure is an absolute record for the domestic market over the past 10 years.

Compared to May 2023, the number of transactions almost doubled by 90.7%, and by 29.6% compared to April 2024.

● Hyundai - 7,467 vehicles;

● BMW - 7,053 vehicles;

● Opel - 6,979 cars.
