Who can get help?

Thus, foster families, family-type children's homes and families of guardians who are abroad can count on payments.

You should also know that payments will be provided to foster families, family-type children's homes and families of guardians (custodians) who have adopted two or more children under the age of 18 who are outside Ukraine at the time of application. Families in Ukraine travelling to certain countries to pick up a child from an institutional institution may also receive assistance.

However, accrual cannot be made in the territory of temporarily occupied territories and zones of active and combat operations.

How will the funds be accrued?

25 000 UAH - paid to a person whose family has placed children who at the time of application are in Poland and other Eastern European countries (Bulgaria, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, etc.).

35 000 UAH - paid to a person whose family has placed children who at the moment of application are in Germany and other countries of Western and Northern Europe (Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, etc.).

UAH 40,000 - paid to a person whose family has placed children who at the time of application are in Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and other countries not listed above.

In order to participate in the programme, it is necessary to apply to the authorised bodies and services for children's affairs in the place of residence. These authorities send a letter of granting monetary targeted charitable assistance.

The official request sent to the organisation's email office@sos-ukraine.org must contain the following information:

- applicant's data (full name, contact telephone number, place of actual residence as of the date of the request);

- confirmation of the fact of placement of children in a family form of upbringing (specify details of the decision on placement and add a copy);

- the location of the children at the time of the decision

- number of children;

- readiness of accompanying documents of the children for their return to Ukraine;

- approximate route and dates of the applicant's planned trip to the country of the children's stay, as well as notification of the applicant's need to receive monetary charitable assistance.
