The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has announced new rules for crossing the border with Poland, which come into force today, July 10, 2024. Find out what documents and requirements Ukrainian carriers need to fulfill to pass customs control in Poland.

Transportation license

Carriers must have a license for international transportation of goods on board in paper form. An extract of the license in English with a QR code is available in the carrier's personal account.

Cargo documents for empty vehicles

When leaving Ukraine with an empty vehicle, the driver must have documents confirming the return with the cargo that the driver will pick up on the way back. This can be a contract or an application signed by the carrier with contact details and the sender's address and the place of loading the car.

Confirmation of the type of transportation

Throughout the flight, you must have documents in paper or electronic form confirming the type of transportation on board. This includes bills of lading, waybills, cargo customs declarations, etc.

Return of an empty truck

When returning an empty truck to Ukraine, you must have documents confirming the transportation of goods in direct traffic.

Sticker on the windshield

The truck windshield must have a 5 cm sticker, the sample of which is approved in the Agreement. If the transportation is not carried out under the terms of the Agreement on "transport visa-free regime", but under the permission of the ECMT, the sticker must be hidden. Starting from July 10, 2024, the above rules will be mandatory for all companies engaged in transportation in accordance with the Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on the Carriage of Goods by Road.
