Information that russian dictator vladimir putin is ill has been circulating for a long time. The illness of the leader of the aggressor country has been confirmed by many, including the head of Ukrainian intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov. However, no one talked about the predictions of putin's death, and now a number of anonymous sources have stated that the russian president is no longer alive. We will tell you whether this is true and who benefits from making such statements.

First reports of putin's death

About a week ago, in the 20th of October, one of the russian Telegram channels "General SVR", which positions itself as anti-government, published a message that putin had suffered a cardiac arrest.

"Yesterday at about 21:05 Moscow time, security officers... heard a noise and sounds of a fall coming from the president's bedroom. Two security officers immediately went to the president's bedroom and saw putin lying on the floor by the bed and an overturned table with food and drinks. Probably, during the fall, the president hit the table and dishes and brought them to the floor," the anonymous TV channel said.

Allegedly, medics were urgently called to the scene and "resuscitated the dictator, having previously found out that he had suffered a cardiac arrest."

Putin died on October 26

Four days after the news of the cardiac arrest, the same Telegram channel wrote that putin had allegedly "died" at his residence in Valdai.

"At 20:42 Moscow time, doctors stopped resuscitation and pronounced him dead," the message read.

This information was later picked up by russian political analyst Valery Solovey in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmytro Gordon. He told a very similar version of the dictator's death.

"He died, absolutely. He died at 20:40 on Thursday, October 26. Irrevocably, finally. Humiliating, true, but absolutely deserved. There is no doubt about his physical death," the analyst said.

Solovey also recalled that at the turn of 2019-2020, putin was diagnosed with cancer. In February 2020, Israeli doctors performed surgery on him. At that time, they determined his life expectancy to be no more than a year and a half.

In fact, the head of the Defense Intelligence Service, Kirill Budanov, spoke about putin's serious illness back in January 2023.

"He has been ill for a long time, I am sure he has cancer. I think he will die very quickly. I hope very soon," Budanov said.

Reaction of the Kremlin and Ukraine

Obviously, many people immediately suspected that the information about putin's death was fake, as it was reported by one TV channel and then repeated by a russian political analyst who has long been associated with the General SVR channel.

However, the Kremlin probably paid attention to it immediately, and the russian dictator's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, denied the information after a while: "No, he's fine. This is just another 'duck'. Absolutely".

At the same time, the question arises: why would the dictator's spokesman react to such an "obvious duck"? It's unclear!

Ukrainian intelligence also commented on putin's possible death. A representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that the agency could not confirm these reports from russian anonymous sources and indicated who might benefit from such information.

He suggested that such information could be launched, in particular, to see how the reaction inside russia would be - who would react and how, including representatives of the elites.

Yusov also compared rumors about the death of putin and his henchman Ramzan Kadyrov. According to the intelligence official, in the case of the so-called head of Chechnya, Ukraine had clear evidence of his illness. As for the russian president, there is no such information yet.

It is important to note that the The Defence Intelligence version is the most plausible, as the sources who leaked the information about the dictator's death, including expert Valery Solovey, could potentially work with the special services or have ties to them. Interestingly, Solovey himself has previously stated that he is "an authorized representative of a powerful international organization that is stronger than the FSS, foreign intelligence and the russian General Staff."

We remind you! Kadyrov is a key figure in the russian political system. His likely death could destabilize the situation in the Chechen region. We will tell you who benefits from the death of the head of Chechnya and what is already happening in the republic amid the news of the dictator's critical condition here.
