New services from PKP Intercity are waiting for passengers. Tickets for trips to various European cities are now available in the mobile application. Previously, tickets for foreign destinations could only be purchased at the ticket office and remotely only as part of the Super Promo International offer.

Here's how to buy train tickets for which categories and to which countries, and what other features have been added to the app.  

We remind you that in the Tickets section of the Visit Ukraine website, you can buy train, bus, and plane tickets to Ukraine and between cities around the world. 

Where you can travel with an online ticket

The PKP Intercity app allows you to purchase tickets for trains of all categories: Express Intercity Premium (EIP), Express Intercity (EIC), Intercity (IC) and Your Railways (TLK) using the discounts and current promotions.

PKP Intercity informs that the following ticket categories will now be available in the app:

- SuperPromo International tickets (to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and Germany)

- IRT tickets (to Austria, Germany and Lithuania)

- eNRT tickets - in international transport at the NRT fare, with seat reservation (to/from Austria, Czech Republic and Slovakia)

In the online sales system (E-IC) you can buy tickets for international trains:

- Warsaw/Gdynia/Krakow-Berlin

- Chopin train Warsaw-Vienna

- Night train Przemyśl-Berlin

- Nightjet train from Poland to Austria

- Nightjet train from Poland to Germany (only for trips to/from Halupki, Racibuż, Opole Gluwne, Brzeg stations).

For the convenience of passengers, the application offers the function of buying tickets in both directions - round trip. 

Please note! Soon it will be possible to purchase an eNRT ticket for traveling to Hungary. For now, the function does not work due to the fact that the Hungarian carrier is not fully integrated into the pan-European system solutions that control the sale of tickets.

How to buy a ticket online

Train tickets, including those with the option to choose a specific seat in the carriage, can be purchased on the official PKP Intercity website or in the PKP Intercity mobile application, which is available for download on Google Play and the App Store.

A PDF ticket is sent along with an email notification when the ticket purchase is completed.

The passenger also has the opportunity to make a ticket refund if necessary (to do this, find the desired ticket on the "My Tickets"/"Paid" tab and use the "Exchange" button.  After the exchange, the funds will be returned to the account.

Additional features of PKP Intercity

After creating a profile, the passenger has the opportunity to create trips based on the most frequent routes and discounts.

Additional features include the ability to purchase additional tickets, such as transportation of a bicycle, dog or extra luggage. It is also possible to choose a specific seat in the car (select a seat from the map).

In addition, the app allows you to order food from WARS to be delivered to your seat.
