Starting from May 1, Ukrainians who cannot pay their utility bills on their own will be eligible for a new state financial assistance. Thus, from May 1 to September 30, subsidies for the unheated period will be calculated.

This financial assistance can be provided to both ordinary citizens and IDPs who were forced to leave their homes.

Please note! Some categories of Ukrainians will be reassigned subsidies for the unheated period, while others will have to re-apply for all documents.

Subsidy for the unheated season 2023. How to get it?

During the heating season, Ukrainians received an average of up to UAH 1600 per month in housing subsidies. During the non-heating season (spring and summer), this amount is lower, as most of the payments were for heating.

The heating season in Ukraine ends in April, so subsidies for the non-heating season will be calculated from May 1 to September 30.

The Pension Fund reminded that the housing subsidy for utilities is calculated in April and October, taking into account the duration of the heating season.

Thus, subsidies and benefits for the unheated season will be reassigned automatically starting in May for most subsidy recipients who received housing subsidies during the heating season.

But some will still have to reapply. This must be done within 30 days.

Who has to re-submit the application and declaration for the subsidy?

• If there are internally displaced persons in the household;

• If household members rent housing and pay for utilities;

• If the number of people actually living in the household is less than the number of people registered;

• If the household applies for a subsidy for the purchase of liquefied gas, solid and liquid household stove fuel.

Where do I apply for a subsidy for the unheated season of 2023?

In order to receive a subsidy, you must submit completed documents for housing subsidies and benefits to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. There are several ways to do this:

- in person, by contacting the selected service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine;

- by mail to the address of the Fund's office;

- online, through the web portal of electronic services of the Pension Fund of Ukraine or the Pension Fund's mobile application.

In addition, as before, you can apply for subsidies to authorized officials of the executive body of the village, town or city council of the respective territorial communities, administrative service centers and through the Diia portal.
