Turkey has extended the stay of cars with Ukrainian registration on its territory. We tell you how long the rules will remain in force and what you need to know about them.

Term of stay of a car on the Ukrainian numbers was prolonged till June 30, 2023, according to the press-service of the embassy of Ukraine in Turkey.

Pay attention! If the term of stay of your car expires due to expiry of the residence permit, you should contact the Turkish customs authorities at your place of residence to fill in the form and mark it in the customs authorities of this country.

Ukrainian drivers in Turkey have begun to face penalties

According to the Ukrainians currently residing in Turkey, they faced a similar problem when they came to the city of Samsun to extend the stay of a car with the Ukrainian registration. However, they were issued a fine of 350 liras, explaining that they did not show up for this procedure before the end of the previous decision, which lasted 90 days.

Representatives of the customs authorities also said the Ukrainians that the decision to extend the stay of cars with Ukrainian registration was approved for Antalya, as there are a large number of Ukrainians living there, but in Samsun this permission allegedly does not apply.

It is worth noting that at the moment the Embassy has not commented on the incident. There is also no official information that the decision was made only for individual regions.
