Holidays in the Carpathians: Ukrainian Railways launches another train service to the resort area

Starting in October, Ukrainians will have another opportunity to visit the picturesque Carpathian Mountains — the national carrier Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a series of regional trains to Vorokhta. The new trains will allow travellers to conveniently reach the mountains to enjoy the bright colours of autumn.

Autumn trip to the Carpathians

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, direct trains to Vorokhta will start running from several cities in the western region on 17 October. The initiative is designed to make travelling to the Carpathians more comfortable during the most beautiful time of the year.

‘Autumn is the time when the Carpathians bloom with all shades of gold and red. We want Ukrainians to be able to see this beauty without wasting time on transfers,’ the company said in an official statement.

Schedule of new regional routes

Passengers are offered convenient connections:

▪️ No. 807/808 ‘Lviv — Vorokhta’ — 17 and 19 October, departure at 08:02, arrival at 13:02;

▪️ No. 810 ‘Lviv — Ivano-Frankivsk’ — 18 October, 07:28–10:03;

▪️ No. 812/811 ‘Ivano-Frankivsk — Vorokhta’ — 18 October, 11:18–13:02;

No. 852/851 ‘Vorokhta — Kolomyia’ — 19 October, 14:37–17:14.

In addition, the same modern DPKr-3 train will serve route No.819/820 Kolomyia — Lviv on 16 October (departure at 16:07, arrival at 19:56).
